feature requests: ---------------------------------------------------------------- 6/27/2004 Time delay on message sending. Time delay can be specified or random within ranges. Random ranges would generally be between 10min-2hrs Time delay serves two purposes. A psuedo kinda sorta anonymity obsfucation, reducing the ability to associate users with their mail (or IP addresses with their mail). IE: traffic analysis currently can reveal that a connection/traffic between the host and then the plaintext traffic sent out by cryptomail. A non security use that such time-delayed emails are sent out is as a calandering/reminder system. You can mail yourself to remind yourself of certain events. One could conceivably write a little calandering UI around this functionality - pick a date, type some text, email is qued to send you a reminder on that date (or a checkbox on the text to send you a reminder x number of days of that event). user experience after typeing in a re-occuring date of the mothers birthday is to get the email a week before the birthday, send out a gift, get an email the day of the birthday, give her a call. killer-ap-like. The spec for that could be relatively detailed and modular from the rest of the system, allowing anyone to take on the task perhaps implementing said functionality via already built open source libraries/programs. ---------------------------------------------------------------- 6/29/2004 "Tag the title of the template pages to be configurable at setup time" ie CryptoMail @ omen.cc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 6/30 One. I was probably jumping the gun in wanting for DC. You should probably concentrate on multiplatform issues, etc. Besides, it would be all useful to have another kick ass major feature set for next year's DC. :) Two: Just becuase it was in the codebase, doesn't mean you have to give it as a service at cryptomail.org (so you dont' end up spending all your $$ on bandwidth). Three: feature request for forwarding - on a per user basis (ie: i want all mail sent from joshuat@gmail.com to be encrypted and forwarded to elio@blackhat.com, for example) -------------------------------------------------------------------- Doc projects: How to brand (this could be very simple, have different levels of complexity, etc) How to sign with your own CA the various peices....
